You type the name of a food or take a photo, and the app uses artificial intelligence to estimate the portion and macros. The result is always editable before you save — you have the final say on what goes into your diary.
The estimates are approximate and depend on what you provide. For items with a nutrition label, it's worth double-checking.
Yes. To keep the service stable, there's a daily limit on AI searches. Logging foods manually is unlimited.
Your entries are stored locally on the device. The text or photo of the food you send for AI search is processed by an external provider only to generate the estimate. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
In Settings, tap "Import from Apple Health" and authorize the requested permissions. The app reads workouts, calorie burn and body data (such as weight) when you allow it. Macros doesn't write data to Apple Health — it only reads.
The app calculates your metabolic rate (BMR) and energy expenditure based on your profile, and distributes the protein, carb and fat goals according to your objective. You can adjust the BMR manually in Settings if you prefer.
A day is considered closed when you hit all three macro goals for the day. Consecutive closed days build your streak, and some achievements celebrate those milestones.
Describe the subscription model here once it's defined (plans, free period, what's free vs. paid). Remove this question if it doesn't apply.
Since your data stays on the device, uninstalling the app removes your local entries. For privacy-related and data protection requests, reach out to contato@macrosapp.com.br.
